Giveaway: Snake Oil Shop

Happy Friday! Big plans this weekend? I’m so excited that my brother-in-law and his fiance are coming to visit. My parents are throwing them a shower tomorrow night. Hopefully the weather is nice by then! We’ve been having thunderstorms all week. We need the rain (my yard looks like a barren wasteland) but for the sake of the party, it would be great if it’s pretty tomorrow night.

I have another giveaway for you this morning! About a month ago, Snake Oil Shop emailed me and asked me if I’d be interested in doing a giveaway for their products. I wasn’t so sure. I’d heard of their product through a couple of blogs but hadn’t ever tried it and didn’t really know anything about it.

Essentially, the Original Formula Snake Oil is a mixture of essential oils that help reduce pain and inflammation. Now let’s be honest, I am turning 30 in a couple of weeks, but I’m not quite there yet and other than my once-per-month workouts, I rarely have aches and pains.

However, they also sent me a selection of their Essential Oil Rubs. Oh my goodness… these things are incredible. My favorites were the CALM Essential Oil Rub (which makes you feel like you’ve just taken a long, relaxing bath) and the SLEEPY, which is a mixture of Lavender, Frankincense and Chamomile.

Sometimes I have trouble sleeping in the middle of the night. I end up laying awake thinking of what I should have done that day, what I need to do tomorrow, what I should write about on the blog, what projects need to be completed... Recently, I’ve kept the SLEEPY rub in my nightstand and if I can’t sleep, I’ll breathe it in for a few minutes and found that it really helps calm my mind enough for me to go back to sleep. 

I also liked the OUTDOOR Essential Oil Rub. It’s a bug repellant, but smells way better than your typical bug spray or Citronella candle. This one definitely has come in handy. The bugs are particularly bad in the South this time of year. They even have a PMS Essential Oil Rub, which is intended to tame the best a little and help you get out of the funk.
