Ice Cream Baby Shower

Happy Monday! We had an exhausting but fun weekend in the Kilgo house. We had my niece and nephew over for a sleepover before school starts back, a 30th birthday party for a sweet friend and a baby shower to go to on Sunday. It was jam packed.

Ice Cream Party
I was able to get my camera back from my Mom’s house over the weekend, so I finally have the pictures to show you from the ice cream themed baby shower my Mom and I hosted last Sunday for my sweet friend, Whitney. Here’s the invitation that I ordered from Pretty Party Creations on Etsy.

When everyone walked in, then filled out one of these:

The shower I went to yesterday did the same thing. Clearly, this little thing is making it’s way around Pinterest. But I love it. It’s going to make a great thing for Whitney to read to little Claire in the future.

Ice Cream Party
We pre-scooped all the ice cream (in pink and white flavors) and placed them in little cupcake holders. It was a very easy way to serve ice cream. Everyone could pick out the couple of scoops that they wanted, discard the wrappers and done. No mess and no freezing hands from scooping out individual servings. It was great!

The labels I used were a free printable from Eat Drink Chic that can be found here: Free Printable Label from Eat Drink Chic

We had lots of different toppings, sauces and other kinds of sweets:

We made ice cream cupcakes, which looked adorable but didn’t taste that great. Have you made these where they turned out well? My cones were kinda soft and I expected them to be crunchy. We also made Dipped Rice Krispie Treats and those were a hit. I pretty much love Rice Krispie Treats in any form.

Drinks included iced coffee, strawberry flavored water, and pink lemonade.

Unfortunately, my camera died about 15 minutes into the party, so I don’t have any shots of the little-momma-to-be. My Mom has them on her camera. Overall though, it was a great party and we were so excited to celebrate with Whitney and to welcome sweet little Claire!

PS: I hope I'm the only one, but your RSS feed hasn't been working for me, so I think I've been missing posts, which is NOT COOL. I just unsubscribed and resubscribed, so hopefully it will be fixed, but if you've noticed fewer comments, that might be the reason.
